Recently, the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province released the list of “Leading Enterprises” for private multinationals in Zhejiang in 2024, including 12 companies based in Ningbo, in which Lygend Resources was included for the first time.
“Leading Enterprises” are selected by the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province to recognize local private multinationals with outstanding performance in transnational operations, global presence, brand influence, technological innovation, and other aspects. This award is one of the important measures taken by Zhejiang Province to promote the upgrading of the “sweet potato economy” and accelerate the development of local multinationals.
Multinationals are important carriers for participation in economic globalization. Driven by the Belt and Road Initiative, Lygend Resources has been building up its core competencies, and established a unique business system around the production, manufacturing and trade of nickel products while striving to engage with the global market. Currently, it has preliminarily completed the layout of the Ningbo headquarters, overseas resource support, manufacturing and smelting facilities in Indonesia, and the global market, and created an industry pattern of “nickel resource integration and trade in the upper course – smelting production and equipment manufacturing in the middle course – extension of application scenarios in the lower course”.
Currently, the development level of the “sweet potato economy” in Ningbo is being improved constantly. Faced with the complex and changeful international situation, Ningbo’s “Leading Enterprises” have shifted from international trade to transnational operations, and extended “vines” of “sweet potatoes” to all parts of the world. This not only helps to enhance their risk resistance, but also improve their international competitiveness effectively. In the future, Lygend Resources will practice the development concept of the “sweet potato economy” with practical actions, and accelerate the process of becoming a globally competitive green high-tech enterprise, and a model for Chinese enterprises to “go global”.
